Kidney is an essential organ of the human body, which is found on right
and left side in vertebrates. It is shaped as two beans that are essential in
extraction of waste products from the body, form urine, balance the fluids of
body, and aid in many other vital functioning of body.
There are several diseases which can injure and prevent kidneys from
functioning properly, such as:
·
Kidney Infection, means the inflammation of kidney’s
tissue, which requires to be treated effectively, as if it isn’t then it can
cause the kidney to fail from functioning.
·
Kidney Stones, are small and hard deposits, which are
formed in kidneys, which are often very painful. When stones form, they block
drainage system, and when this happens, it can damage the kidney. This stones
are basically small salt and mineral masses.
·
Chronic Kidney Failure, also known as End Stage Renal
Disease. The leading cause for the failure of kidney is high blood pressure and
Type 2 diabetes. There would be gradual loss of functioning of kidney overtime.
The common symptoms are the loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps,
itchiness, trouble sleeping, and feeling unwell.
·
Polycystic Kidney Disease is an inherited or genetic
disease, which is also known as adult PKD, where cysts develop in kidneys,
which may consist of tissue, gas, or fluid. As this cyst begins to develop,
they block the normal functioning of kidney.
·
Cancer, also known as renal cancer, which happens when
the cells begin to develop and reproduce faster and are out of control, which
creates tumours.
These diseases are possibly treated in several ways, but if any disease
progresses more than usual, then it can cause damage to the kidney terribly. So
with progression of the disease, none of the treatment works out, then kidney
transplant would be required.
